That could well become our official motto at all stages together in life. We can’t tell a schmaltzy love story about how we got to know each other. We can’t talk about big decisions that we consciously made. The way it happened was right and felt good. And so “event husband” and “event wife” suddenly became a strong bond outside of work too. A connection that was strengthened just as unplanned after our beautiful daughter Romy came into our lives.
It just happened that way. And we are happy about it. That’s why we want to seal the decision to get married just as relaxed, together with you, and let it happen. We invite you to spend two days together at our Happy Place – Vrachos Beach.

Location & Arrival
Happy Place
Vrachos Beach is a quiet spot on the Greek west coast that is authentic and not overcrowded with tourists at this time of year. From there, all locations are within a short walking distance, so you can move around easily on foot.
We will book your room at „Haris Apartments“.
Of course, you can also arrive earlier at your own expense and explore our Happy Place for yourself. We have written details and further tips in the FAQs under “Hotel”.
The weather in Vrachos Beach in October is usually sunny with around 22–25 °C. The Mediterranean is still warm and inviting for a swim.

How do I get to Vrachos Beach?
The shortest way to Vrachos Beach is via Preveza Airport (50 km), but unfortunately, flights are very limited at this time of year. You’ll find significantly more flights to Corfu, and from there, a ferry to Igoumenitsa (53 km to Vrachos Beach) is available. Tickets can be easily booked online, for example, here:

We will organize shuttle buses from Igoumenitsa and/or Preveza and back, so please let us know when you arrive/depart, and we will try to accommodate as many guests as possible. We will announce the pick-up times later; alternatively, you can book a shuttle directly if these times do not suit you:

What can I do in Vrachos Beach?
Vrachos Beach is our “happy place”—especially because this location is incredibly laid-back. Even more so in October, as there will be hardly any tourists around and only a few restaurants or shops will be open.
If you wish to visit a typical Greek town, we recommend

In Vrachos Beach, you will find a well-stocked supermarket and several pharmacies that are still open.

Is there a dress code at the wedding?
First and foremost: come as you are! We do not expect or desire formal clothing from you (only from Björn ;).
Feel free to dress casually. If we may express a wish, we would appreciate clothing in light colors (only white or white combined with sand and/or beige)…the bride loves white, especially on other female guests ;).
We think straw hats, linen pants, oversized sunglasses and hats are awesome!
What is the weather like at this time of year?
The weather in Vrachos Beach in October is usually sunny, with temperatures around 22-25°C. The Mediterranean is still warm and inviting for swimming.
Mobile Phones & Social Media
We will have a photographer on site who will accompany us in Greece. If you wish to take photos with your phones, we kindly ask that you do not post any photos on social media that include other people, especially children. We want to spend the day with you and appreciate it if you minimize your phone use.
